"To become what it is, you have to accept what doors have been closed."

I had to stop and reread that sentence out loud. I love it and I know it's the sort of sentence that will stick. I love the energy of this whole post.

I absolutely LOVE this post. I'm hearing an optimism in your words, a hopefulness that has been evolving for the past few months as you've tapped into the language, visual production, choices, and teachings of your mentors. I'm so grateful we are the second-hand recipients of these lessons.

Kristine 😭💗 I am so grateful to have you here. I think I say it all the time but I mean it every time. Thank you for your kindness. I feel very lucky you shine your light here but I also love knowing that you're out there, just making the world a brighter place by being in it. That might be cheesy but!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what I feel!!!!

courtney, once again i must say that i am so incredibly proud of you. there's really no one more deserving.

this specific page from your author diary strikes a chord within me. i've been feeling like nothing i write matters as much as it used to lately. it's so hard to get up and actually write something and it's driving me insane because i can, at the same time, feel it inside of me.

today i deleted my social media apps and went back to reading certain favorites i have (including my ridiculously annotated copy of the project). i was lying in bed and felt a slow warmth spread as i reconnected and began to reduce the pressure on myself. it's good to know that everyone feels like this at one point.

cannot wait to see the final form of the film. take care of yourself. x

i like to think that these kinds of moments are also actual markers of growth. everything we've done up to a certain point transforms and hones our voice and approach, and begins demanding more. sometimes it takes a second to catch up to that next level we've arrived at. it makes me happy to know that you're writing. you have a wonderful voice, allyson. and you'rer a generous and kind commenter and i have always appreciated that so much.

I think if you're a creative/ artist/writer/etc that part of you is always there. It might hibernate for a while or it might burn out but it's always there waiting for the right moment to re-emerge and ignite 🧡 I am so pleased this is happening for you (it's also very cool & exciting 😀) and thanks again for choosing to share all these parts of your life with us 💕💕

ooh I love the hibernation analogy because it also makes me want to think of creativity as a bear & when it's awake get out of its way!!! 😂 thank you so much for sharing in the excitement. it means a lot that you do.
