At the point of Georgia's story that I'm the Girl shares she couldn't possibly save or change the world, nobody could. But she saves herself and that is an amazing, strong thing to do. And at the point we leave her and her story she's still got so much more to cope with, she's going to have to keep saving herself over and over again for as long as it takes to fight the effects of her groomed mind (with the help of friends & family & mental health professionals). Just getting away is such an achievement. Why can't people understand that ☹
I think it's just an extension of the world we've been conditioned by unfortunately :( I think we place so little value on the value women place on themselves that it's easy for people not to see Georgia reclaiming her body and her sexuality and refusing Aspera after being groomed so aggressively throughout as a personal victory. But it makes me extra grateful for the readers who do.

It makes me so sad & so angry.
